DIRECTORATE

The CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER is a member of the Gwich’in Tribal Council’s (GTC) Executive team with the primary responsibility of directing the financial affairs of the GTC and its subsidiary companies including the Gwich’in Development Corporation and its related entities, Gwich’in Settlement Corporation, Gwich’in Social and Cultural Institute, Gwich’in Enrolment Board, and other various funds and trusts. The CFO is responsible for financial integrity, which includes providing consolidated financial reporting, maintaining corporate information systems, overseeing the treasury function, and implementing financial strategies and policies. The CFO provides reports and takes direction from the Board of Directors for each appropriate entity. As a member of the GTC senior management team, the CFO is also responsible for providing financial guidance and advice.

The CONTROLLER is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations for GTC and its subsidiary companies and provides direct supervision to a staff of four.

The SENIOR FINANCE & ADMINISTRATION OFFICER provides day-to-day administrative support to the GTC office in Fort McPherson as well as accounting support for the GTC and its subsidiary companies.

The SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER, FINANCE & PAYROLL OFFICER, and FINANCE OFFICER provide day-to-day accounting support for the GTC and its subsidiary companies.
